The special lady in this portrait, Mrs. John Portman, just turned 80. Her children commissioned me to paint this portrait from a photo from about 20 years ago. It was very important for me to make it a perfect gift for them to give her. She was very touched and very happy. That makes me happy. I will get a better photograph - but you get the idea.
